For single interface operation, follow these simple steps. First, connect the AES breakout cable to Port A (not Port B) -- i.e. the left-hand port -- on the back of the PCI(e) card, visible at the rear of the Mac Pro. This will ensure that the BNC connector accepts an incoming clock signal (if present). Do not use Port B. If you use Port B, the BNC connector will send a clock signal instead.
Now, connect the White OUT 1 Cable to your AES/EBU cable, or directly to the input of your DAC.
If using an external clock, such as the Antelope Isochrone Trinity, connect a BNC-BNC cable to the Word Clock.
